Their vintage design draws inspiration from the iconic chess sets of the British Victorian era. Notably, the shanks are beautifully curved and skillfully pinched at the center, ensuring the pieces are well-proportioned. Each piece is weighted at the base, providing excellent balance, and the consistency among all the chessmen is exceptional—it’s nearly impossible to distinguish between the knights. This uniformity is achieved by having a single craftsman carve all four knights. It’s worth noting that these chessmen are produced in limited runs, with only five sets created at a time.

Crafted from premium Black Ebonised wood and fine-grain boxwood, these chess pieces are becoming increasingly rare, with rising prices, making them a valuable investment. Instead of lacquer, their stunning finish comes from the meticulous hand polishing of the dense hardwoods, a characteristic not found in lower-quality sets.
