Mr. Manohar Singh started the company from his home under the name (Guru Nanak Ivory Works) with a wide vision to become a world-renowned manufacturer of wooden chess games and other wooden games for their customers. As of 2000, the company was led by Mr. Varinder Pal Singh, who took over the responsibility to further take the company forward and started a new venture called Oriental handicrafts, in the focal point industrial area of Amritsar, Punjab, India. His younger son Mr. Bhupinder Pal Singh joined the company in 2010.
